BREAKING: Davido and Chioma son, Ifeanyi drowns to death, days after 3rd birthday.

Tragedy has struck in the household of music icon, David Adeleke aka Davido as Ifeanyi David, his first son with baby mama, Chioma Rowland aka Chef Chi has passed on.


Ifeanyi who only recently celebrated his 3rd birthday reportedly drowned in his father’s Banana Island swimming pool and was rushed to Lagoon Hospital on Bourdillon road, Ikoyi, Lagos where he passed on.

Ironically, his father had been teaching him how to take dips in the pool in an attempt to create a father and son bond

While some of his fellow entertainers like actress, Eniola Badmus and serial entrepreneur, Toyin Lawani posted the picture of a broken heart emoji on their social media pages which they later pulled down, others like former Big Brother Naija reality star, Dorathy Bachor, Comedian Lasisielenu, Ayo Making, others  expressed shock at the news.

Ifeanyi’s death is happening four years after singer, Dapo Oyebanjo aka DBanj lost his first child in a very similar circumstance.


The toddler was a bit over a year old when he drowned at pool in his father’s residence in Ikoyi.

The uncontrollably mourning singer, Davido, was said to have been moved to his father's house while the nanny and other househelp in the house has been arrested. 

Celebrities have stormed to the hospital in mass to pay consolation greetings. A confirmed source tells mightysblog.
